| The Furnace at Michigan State University fueling a campus awakening through prayer The Furnace is a movement of prayer at Michigan State University. It exists to establish and encourage unified prayer in the Body of Christ on campus. It’s made up of students, staff workers, campus ministries, and others who have a desire to see the Kingdom of God come at MSU as it is in Heaven. In other words, it’s for everyone and by everyone who loves Jesus and wants to see Revival come! The Furnace exists, not as a “campus ministry” unto itself, but as a network of people and groups who are interceding for the campus. Our desire is to connect God’s people in love, so that the world will know Him (John 17:23). The purpose is that through sustained prayer, the flame of Jesus’ love would touch every part of the campus community -- from the classroom to the dorm room, from campus ministry meetings to University administration meetings; impacting EVERY student, staff and faculty member. The beauty of prayer is that it is THE guaranteed avenue to accomplishing such a task! Calling all campus ministry staffers!
