October 26, 2006:  Marla, a friend of the Furnace, was on campus speaking with students
about Jesus, and one student in particular seemed to have VERY open ears, eyes and a heart
desire to know of Christ, and spoke with her for nearly an hour, hungry to hear of a God who is
really alive and active, and who has such love!!  An answer to our prayers on October 25th!!

October 25, 2006  Furnace Meeting
Representative groups in attendance:  Spirit of Christ Student Fellowship

Prayer Focus:  Praying for God's people (in all groups) to know His heart, to feel what He feels,
move how He moves and know His wisdom.  That we may be full of His love, filled with the fruit
of righteousness and bringing glory to God.  [Matthew 11:11-19; Pillipians 1:9-1]

Prayer Focus:  Praying for those who don't know Christ as Saviour, that they would have open
ears, eyes and hearts to receive Him.  [Colossians 4:2-4; 2 Timothy 2:24-26; Luke 24:45]

Prayer Focus:  Prayed standing for Jesus Christ to be revealed, even in the midst of glorification
of death and evil (Halloween).

October 18, 2006  Furnace Meeting
Representative groups in attendance:  Spirit of Christ Student Fellowship

Prayer Focus:  Combating the compromise and lack of spiritual fervor that is common in our
time and culture.  We spent a good deal of time on this, asking the Lord to awaken His people
and fill them with zeal for Him and His Word.  We repented for our own falling short and asked
Him to give us the "gold, clean garments, and eye salve" referenced in Revelation 3.
[Revelation 3:1-3, 14-21; Colossians 1:9-10; John 16:8-13]

Prayer Focus:  Prayer for Jesus Christ to be revealed to the Muslims on campus as they
celebrate the fasting month of Ramadan.  We prayed for God to visit them with dreams and
visions of His Son, His death and resurrection.  We are believing that He will answer the cries of
those who truly wish to be righteous.  [Matthew 11:27-30; Isaiah 45:21-24; Isaiah 52:13-15]

October 11, 2006  Furnace Meeting
Representative groups in attendance:  University Christian Outreach, Trinity AME Church, Spirit
of Christ Student Fellowship

Prayer Focus:  The Releasing of the power of God to bring glory to His Name and to bring
others to salvation.  We prayed for God to do signs and wonders and miracles so others would
see His power and know Him as God, and that His people would proclaim Him boldly.  [Acts
4:23-31; 2 Corinthians 4:6-7; Ephesians 3:20-21]

Prayer Focus:  For love to abound among Christ's people.  This is the major sign that will show
the world that we are truly His.  As we express His love in the world, God will be revealed.  [I
John 4:7-16; John13:34-35]

October 4, 2006  Furnace Meeting
Representative groups in attendance:  Intervarsity, House of Prayer Church, Voice of Power and
Deliverance Ministries, Spirit of Christ Student Fellowship

First, we humbled ourselves asking God's forgiveness for our sins, and releasing forgiveness
to those who have wronged us.

Prayer Focus:  We prayed for a revelation of God's goodness to come upon His people and the
campus.  We know that if God's people truly know how good He is, they will have great
BOLDNESS in telling others about Him; it will draw them closer to Him, it will bring faith for
miracles; and when the lost see His goodness, they will come running to Jesus!  {Ephesians
1:17; Romans 12:2; I Thessalonians 1:11-12]

Prayer Focus:  Spiritual warfare.  We prayed for all those who are being oppressed by evil
spirits, especially campus ministry leaders..  We prayed that God would release His love and
faithfulness to combat the work of the devil.  [Psalm 57]

October 3, 2006  It was kind of a rainy day, but Jessie Still persisted in ministering the
Gospel through music outside of Wells Hall, sharing God's love with students as they passed
by.  One guy parked his bike and stood for quite some time looking and listening.  It was clear
that something was drawing him.  He then walked to a nearby bench and sat there listening
(yes, in the rain!) for 30minutes or so!!  It seemed that God's Spirit was working on his heart.  He
was obviously deep in thought and held his head in his hand as if considering/praying.  When
Randall approached him to try and talk, he said he was just listening to the music and didn't
seem ready to talk.  He stayed until Jessie stopped and left.  God is moving on souls with His
love!  Let's pray for more outpouring of God's Spirit and power!

October 2, 2006  Two students were heard  outside of Mayo Hall at 2am, spontaneously
discussing God and the implications of "what if Jesus is God?".  These were clearly unbelieving
students, and were not prompted by the questions of any Christian presence (that we know of).
Could this be a sign of the awakening that we are praying for?
Testimonies from October 2006!
