November 17, 2006 "Body Slam", a united worship and prayer event for all campus
ministries took place this night, with an attendance of over 100 people, and about 6 (possibly
more!) fellowships represented in attendance. It was an amazing time as we worshipped the
Lord in unity, His Presence was mighty and powerful! Spending time in prayer for the campus,
the nation, and the world proved to be powerful as well! This event is a great start as we look to
see the full Body of Christ operate together to bring the Kingdom of God to MSU!! May this event
fuel us to seek Him together more, that He may be glorified!
November 15, 2006 Furnace Meeting
This meeting was interesting in that we did not have a set agenda as to what to pray for, but set
our hearts to worship God passionately. As we did, He directed our time into an intense time of
intercession; that God's people would be wise as they live in these days, preparing the way for
Jesus' return.
November 8, 2006 Furnace Meeting
Prayer Focus 1: Holiness for God's people. God is zealous and jealous for the hearts of His
people. He desires that we live full of holiness, not from following legalistic rules, but from
being full of the Holy Spirit. We prayed for the Holy One to truly invade the lives of God's people.
[Psalm 45:7; 69:9; Philippians 1:9-11; I Thessalonians 3:12-13]
Prayer Focus 2: Praying for Unity in the Body. Especially in light of the upcoming "Body Slam"
gathering. We prayed that God's people would be One and He is One, that He would be
glorified on this campus!
November 3, 2006: Brain LaLonde, mission leader for UCO at MSU reports that at their
last meeting, God poured out His Spirit mightily on many students!! He believes this was in
answer to our prayers at the Furnace for them at that very time! Praise God! He is faithful and
He hears and answers us!
November 1, 2006: Randall, member of Spirit of Christ Fellowship reports talking with a
friend (who previously claimed to be "atheist") extensively regarding the truth of spiritual things
and of God. The guy even let Randall pray with him/for him! This was a breakthrough. He no
longer considers himself atheist, but still isn't ready to submit to Jesus as Lord.
November 1, 2006 Furnace Meeting
Representative groups in attendance: Spirit of Christ Student Fellowship, Spirit of Christ Church
Prayer Focus: The upcoming elections. We prayed for righteousness to prevail. We also
prayed for future legislators, judges, etc. who are at the University to find the Truth and Justice
found in Jesus Christ. We prayed that our State politics would be pure. [Proverbs 14:34-35]
Prayer Focus: For an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in power on the believers at MSU. This would
empower them to truly be witnesses and bring great glory to God. We preayed specifically for
UCO's "Come Holy Spirit" meeting which was happening concurrently during the Furnace
meeting. [Acts 1:4-8; Acts 2:17-18]
Prayer focus: We prayed for God to raise up students with humble hearts who love the Lord and
will seek Him diligently to move at MSU. We believe He wants to raise up people who are
committed to praying and asking for His Kingdom to come at MSU as it is in Heaven.
